COCAN prepares for the quarter finals in the economic capital of Cameroon

Today marks another important step in the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations TotalEnergies Cameroon 2021. The President of COCAN, Professor Narcise Kombi Mouelle, accompanied by a powerful delegation of the same committee organised a preparative meeting in Douala today, Thursday the 27th of January.

This meeting which was organized at the Governor’s office, aimed at reassuring the entire CAF family, population of Douala, Cameroon, participants of this competition and Africa at large that all necessary measures have been put in place for a successful continuation.

All the persons incharge of the various commissions were present and gave a report on the evolution of the competition here in Douala; given that the JAPOMA stadium hosted the Group E of the AFCON and other matches. Douala equally hosts the refreees and CAF delegation of this tournament.

Since the beginning of this football festival, journalists have been offered a good treat to be able to give good and helpful information to the public. Perfect media centers, well equipped with excellent internet facilities coupled with portable water, drinks and snacks. This is to continue till the end of this football jamboree.

Well thought security measures put in place to avoid the kind of Olembe tragedy and also to protect the players from the so loving population.

Tickets are available in the various city halls in the Douala, Japoma Stadium, Mbappe Lepe Stadium, Parcours Vita and the Governor’s office. Tickets of 15.000FCFA, 10.000FCFA and 5000FCFA. There are NO free tickets for the remaining phases of the competition.

SOCATUR offers free transportation of the population to JAPOMA Stadium, all you need do is present your tickets.

Over 400 youths are doing a good job so far in the protocol and volunteer committee, healthwise, they are tested every 24-48 hours before every given match to ensure they are COVID free.

The Governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Ivaha Dieudonne heaved a sigh of relief knowing better preparations prevent poor performance. Douala is ready, the field(green turf) is ready, reinforced health facilities and personnels ready as well as the security force. The Lions and scorpions who are already present in Douala, just need to offer a wonderful game.
