Over 200 kids took part in  the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Kids TotalEnergies – CANKITO, organised by T. Djitta Guy sponsored by TotalEnergies. This is a wonderful initiative which is in line with the trophy tour within the host country, Cameroon. The objective is to let the population of the towns where the competitions will be played to have a view and warmth of what the competition will look like.

These kids had the opportunity to see MOLA and the Trophy, take pictures and keep wonderful souvenirs of this 33rd edition of the AFCON. The Akwa stadium flourished with gifts. Every participant had a gift. Special prizes ranged from 2nd places to 1st. the best players of both categories U10 and U14 together with their coaches will be opportuned to watch the finals live at the OLEMBE stadium in Yaounde, come February 6th. Bags, balls trophies, medals and many other gifts coloured the football festival.

One could see at the end of this elegant event satisfaction on the faces of all the promoters of the various football academies. The eyes of the players filled with fatigue but great excitment so as to say; we need more of such football feasts.

AJSIC Training Center Libermann, one of the academies could not go unnoticed; well disciplined, fair-play, dresscode, respecting COVID barrier measures with their uniform facemasks. If not of their sizes which betrayed visibly their ages, they could be mistaken for international professional players.

Other teams such as; ANAFOOT, TDHA, AS les Merveilles, Dauphine Academy. MJA, DIARRA FC, NOUBISS ACADEMY also took part in this football jamboree. They all represented the various countries to take part in this competition which will regroup all African footballers. [ Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Algeria, Tunisia,Gambia, Mauritania and Nigeria.]

The 29th and 30th of December were greatly animated by drums. the kids still had some energy to dance to the tune of their wonderful music.

Well done T. Djitta Guy, you are a force to reckone with. Bravo TotalEnergies. Long live Youth Football Championship, Long live FECAFOOT, Long live Cameroon.
